Four decades ago, John Nichols came to Vail from Vermont to enjoy the perfect skiing conditions and clear sunny skies, planning to stay just for one season.

His story starts off a familiar one for this valley, but soon becomes all his own.

After that first season, John stayed on and began working in construction trades and then moved into commercial real estate conceptualizing the first seafood restaurant and sports bar in the valley.
